The Square Kilometre Array

The world is uniting in order to build one of the largest and most ambitious scientific facilities that has ever existed. Consisting of two telescopes in Australia and South Africa, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) will answer fundamental questions related to the nature of the Universe and our place within it.
From spinning neutron stars to black holes at the edge of the Universe, the SKA will challenge the theories put forward by Einstein.
Jeff Wagg came to the Flamsteed to describe the status of the ongoing SKA design work and presented an overview of some of the questions that the SKA will help to answer.
