THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON
We will be running a solar observing session at the Royal Observatory Greenwich on Saturday 8 March from 11am to around 2.30pm. This session is open to all. We will be setting up at our usual location by the Altazimuth Building at the Royal Observatory.
The event coincides with National Astronomy Week and also the International Sidewalk Astronomy Night which is dedicated to John Dobson (amateur astronomer and the inventor of the Dobsonian mount) who died on January 15th.
We will offer visitors the chance to see the Sun in both H-Alpha and White Light.
