Remote Exploration of Rocky Planets: from Craters to Smart Dust by Professor John Barker.
Professor Barker is a theoretical physicist and Emeritus Professor of Electronics at the University of Glasgow working mainly in the field of Nanoelectronics. His work in Astronomy involves the automatic recognition and computer re-construction of impact craters and other features on the Earth, Moon and Mars.
He is exploring the use of swarms of smart dust modules embedded in wind-driven sand as a low cost space exploration tool.
