THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED
The Flamsteed Radio Astronomy Group is being relaunched, commencing with a workshop on Tuesday 17th November at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
In this 90 minute workshop, we will explain how to set up simple radio systems for meteor detection and solar flare monitoring. These systems use relatively small radio aerials and cheap equipment, and do not require much technical expertise to set up.
This workshop will be held at the Royal Observatory Greenwich from 7pm on Tuesday 17th November. Places will need to be reserved in advance and you can book a ticket by clicking on the link below. We will be situated in the foyer area by the entrance to the Peter Harrison Planetarium.
The Radio Astronomy Group is not a lecture group. Our aim is to provide practical advice to members who are interested in setting up their own systems. There will be some opportunities to visit other radio astronomy groups and receiving sites.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE FLAMSTEED ASTRONOMY SOCIETY ONLY.
Please do not book a place on this event if you are not a member of the society. Your booking will be cancelled if your name does not appear on our membership database.
