Our next Radio Astronomy Group meeting will be on Saturday 26th October at the Royal Observatory Greenwich from 11am to 1pm.
Please bring along equipment or any material you may have unearthed over the summer, along with any thoughts or discoveries so that we can pick up where we left off prior to the summer break.
Since we last met, Grey has visited and talked at length with the Radio Astronomers at The Norman Lockyer Observatory in Sidmouth, East Devon. They are very excited by the prospect sharing their knowledge with us in order to refine observations. Mike and Grey have also spoken in detail with the Radio Group at Herstmonceux Observatory in East Sussex who are similarly enthusiastic.
Both groups are ahead of us technically and observing a wide range of objects but use equipment with which we are familiar. The results are impressive, often surprising and they are very keen to help, but more on this when we meet………..
