THIS EVENT IS CONFIRMED ON
Once again, we will be running a Perseid Meteor Watch session at Cudham in Kent. This event will be on Wednesday 13th August.
The maximum of Perseid activity is expected between 11-14 August 2014. You usually start seeing meteors an hour or so before midnight, with the radiant near the Double Cluster in Perseus climbing higher in the sky throughout the night.
Location details can be found at the following link: http://www.flamsteed.org.uk/observing/stargazing-events/cudham-stargazing/
Cudham is near Biggin Hill in Kent and has darker skies than those found in South-East London. There is plenty of parking.
The Perseids tend to strengthen in number after midnight. We will start the session at 10pm and continue for as long as people are happy to stay.
