Comet Catalina by Martin Male
THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED AND IS CONFIRMED ON
We are planning an event to observe and image Comet Catalina at a dark sky location. Chris has very kindly offered us the chance to borrow his personal bit of darkness in Kent together with his spacious patio to view the comet.
The planned date for the event is Friday 15th January, but we may move the event to any date in the window of 12th-16th January, in order to try and catch the best weather conditions.
We have a limit of 8 spaces due to space limitations, so it will be first come, first served. If you are interested in attending, please contact Rupert.
We would be looking to start the event from 10.30pm, with a go / no-go announcement around 5pm on the day of the event. Chris’s house is not far from Leeds Castle and approximately an hour’s drive from SE London.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO MEMBERS OF THE FLAMSTEED ASTRONOMY SOCIETY ONLY.
Please do not book a place on this event if you are not a member of the society. Your booking will be cancelled if your name does not appear on our membership database.
