This workshop is intended as a basic introduction to astrophotography, using DSLRs or compact system cameras. We will cover basic camera set-up: aperture, focus, shutter speed and ISO. We will give some practical examples of astrophotography: star trails, timelapse, meteors, ISS/Iridium flares.
Finally, we will look at the basics of using a telescope for astrophotography and some basic processing of images.
The presenters will be Mike Meynell and Sumitra Sri Bhashyam.
This workshop will be held in Mycenae House, Blackheath. Mycenae House is located in Mycenae Road just off Westcombe Park Road in Blackheath, SE3. It is close to the Blackheath Standard shops and buses. There is a café selling hot drinks and snacks located on the ground floor.
